Nathan’s House provides an affordably comfortable recovery residence for men in northern lower Michigan so they can establish their foundation in recovery and start on the journey to maintain complete abstinence from all mood- and mind-altering substances. Guests of Nathan’s House will be required to maintain certain responsibilities and meet expectations. Finally, please note that Mr. DeBeck and Nathan's House successfully meet the standards of the Michigan Association of Recovery Residences, Inc. (MARR) & National Alliance of Recovery Residences, Inc. (NARR).

As such, the recovery residence will be inspected and certified to meet all MARR standards for operations. The need for additional recovery supports, including recovery residences, has grown exponentially because the opioid epidemic has resulted in an exponential increase in the number of people suffering with a substance use disorder. Given that both federal agencies (SAMSHA) and state agencies (MI DHHS) have recognized both the need for and the efficacy of recovery residences that operate under the MARR standards, the  recovery residence operation at 218 E. Lincoln St. & 631 Boyne Ave. will act as a resource for people in the community suffering from a substance use disorder.
